What is the Hero Caravan?

The Hero Caravan visits families with palliative childrens and initiates activities for the sick child and the rest of the family. The project's purpose is to give families a break from illness, focusing on active and creative play, good experiences, and pleasant memories. The Hero Caravan acts as a social bridge between long hospital visits and lonely days at home, where school, daycare, and leisure activities are not something the child can participate in. The Play and Craft heroes create supportive and inspiring environments where children's imagination and ideas can be tested, challenged, and played with in the comfort of their own home. It is Børneulykkesfondens Craft and Play Heroes, who regularly work in pediatric departments, etc., who visit the children. The Heroes all have relevant education in movement, child care, or learning.
